“CCM megastar” means millionaire several times over. I’m afraid we would be stunned and heartbroken if we had a list of Christian celebrities who support the authoritarian president and his fascist policies.
This is horrible and you are absolutely right that he shouldn’t have been there, but sadly it’s not surprising. After all, we just haven’t heard anything from mainstream evangelicals pushing back/ speaking out against Trump for his many egregious evils. So why would Tomlin be any different?
One quibble. I wouldn’t call pastors aligned with the New Apostolic Reformation “evangelicals.“ It’s a heretical movement so it hardly qualifies as evangelical.
Thanks for speaking up & out! I note the U.S. flag, which I understand is really being worshipped (as empire) despite the words sung. This is an example of (white) "Christian" Nationalism with white-centering, empire-centering, & rule by the few.
I saw the post and video he shared. I am not going to lie and say this didn’t bother me. I am really disappointed that he did this, so much that his music will be deleted from my phone. Actions are more powerful than any words, and I for one won’t support Carrie Underwood and now Chris Tomlin.

The term evangelical has been hijacked.
Lots of phony christians out there, just saying…

I can’t say if someone is a Christian or not except for Rump ( cuz it’s so clear there). But this is terrible- they are all Pharisees
Now, if they were humble enough to sign up for David’s Tent across the street and just worship with the rest of us wouldn’t that have been grand!!
Absolutely right, brother. To see Chris Tomlin alongside the odious Sean Feucht is neauseating.
Tbh Christ Tomlin always gave me the ick, so this wasn’t a shock to me. Also I love your bio and you just gained a new sub
